clara davis is an artist, designer, and writer. her work concerns human-technology relationships within the broad anthropological understanding of “technology” as a human-constructed way of doing things. she is interested in exploring computer-mediated communication between people and with the interface of “the computer” itself. as a photographer, she appropriates tools and content to call attention to the many angles and purposes images come from—surveillance, communication, evidence, collective and personal expression—and where these uses overlap.
Clara is studying studio art, English, and cultural anthropology at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. she writes and designs for Currents Magazine, ta-ed an artist’s books class in the TUPIT program, and has sold her work at the Boston art book fair.
